I am having a VERY bad day today, Well it started yesterday.
The only good part of today was Shawn has home, His leave for Christmas started today.
SO on to my bad couple of days...
It all started back in Sep, I went to the dentist to and found out I had to get a root canal, Ok fine, Shame on me for not taking better care of my teeth. Aunt Becky has already told me that. Not only getting one I needed a double one. fine had it done all fine and dandy or so I thought. The Dr did his work and said we will see you back tomorrow to do the crowns. Now on this first visit I was just given a bill for 850 and some change. Nothing else. I expect when I am getting a service done be it my nails or hair or teeth or anything for that matter that I be told about the TOTAL charge for everything up front. before any service is done. This was not done. So now I have 2 teeth, 4 and 5 if you are wondering that have had a root canal and been prepped for crowns. with no crowns on them because the next day I went in and was told it was gonna be an extra 1200 for the 2 crowns. Needless to say I lost it.
So since Sep I have been in pain and not enjoying eating as much as I should be. I finally decided to call the dentist office to let them know about the pain I had been having, Well what happened was just what I was not wanting to happen, A fight. In talking to my super smart aunt that just got done going to school for dental stuff told me that she bets me 1,000.00 that my RC failed. I don't really know what it means but it does sound good to me. I also will take this time to inform her I plan an holding her to that bet.
The main reason I am mad is because I was not told about the TOTAL cost up front. I feel I should of been. I think it would of changed the outcome of the situation.
So tomorrow I had to cancel my appt for my follow up with the head Dr ( I get migraines ) That appt was at 710 am. I have an appt tomorrow at 4 pm with the dentist so they can tell me what I already know. I don't know where we will be going from there. But I am not happy about the while thing. I can tell you that much.
Now some people may ask why I did not just keep both appts. We live on the other side of town from both appts. I am not wanting to go back to that side of town 2 times in one day.
So vacation is getting closer. We are not at all ready for it. I have not started packing. I still have to make my dad his bread. I was going to do that all tomorrow. I guess I will be doing it in the morning and not in the afternoon.
Sometimes LIFE SUCKS !!! But dinner sure does smell good :)

SHOES
Do you ever have those days where you sit and do nothing ?? That was us yesterday, I loved it.
Today on the other hand was not so lazy, I had to mail Shawn's Parents there Christmas present from Kayden, We waited in live for almost 45 mins just to mail one package. Someone remind me next year to not wait that long. It was crazy !!! A lady Shawn works with was saying she was going to the post office, He told her she would be there for a while, She did not think she would be. I cant wait to see what she tells Shawn tomorrow. She was in for it. While we where at the BX I decided to get my self a small crock pot, I have a hugh one and it is not good for small meals, It is good for like chili and shops and stuff like that. We also had lunch with Shawn.
Tomorrow Shawn work is having a pot luck for some people going away's. It is a crock pot cook off. I am making Chicken Fajitas for him to take to work, They are really yummy !!! I hope we win. Kayden and I are not going to be joining them for lunch, We are going to a place called Peter Piper Pizza with the baby group. It is always fun there, Sort of like a Chuckie Cheese.
On a side note my son is really strange, After dinner we were sitting around, He brought me one of his house shoes, I put it on and told him to get me the other one, he then brings me one of his crocs, The one that would go on the foot with no shoe. He likes to wear shoes, He also knows in the morning if I put his shoes on then it is time to go and he waits at the door for me, What a smart little boy he is.
Well nothing else is new with us, We are all getting super excited that vacation starts in 4 sleeps.

A Monster turned Angel
it has been a couple of days, Life has been pretty boring around here, Kayden has not learned anything new.
I will say I don't understand him one bit, One day he is being a little monster and the next day he is a perfect angel. Can someone explain this to me.
Today was his great Aunt Vals Birthday ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and it is Heidi too. ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY). Well we decided that we would go out for dinner with Aunt Val and Uncle David and whole bunches of people for her birthday. we where not going to take him but our sitter was not feeling good so he got to go with us. Most of the time when we go out to eat he does not let us enjoy a meal. What a sweet little boy he is. Well tonight he was PERFECT, Yes I said PERFECT the whole time we where gone. He improved on his dipping skills, Ate limes, Salsa, Crab and Whipped Cream. I was telling Shawn on the way home I was so proud of how well behaved he was. I wish there was some way to let him know how proud of him I was.
Most of you know we are not buying Christmas for anyone this year and it really bums me out. I LOVE shopping. I did not want to go down to my parents house and not have anything for them. I know if I spent a lot of money they would be upset as they understand on our one income we don't have a bunch of money. I decided that we would make a present for each grandparents. I wish I could tell you all what it is but them his Grammy would know and we don't want to spoil her surprise. Shawn got to help make them today, He has never helped with craft time before. I don't think he will be helping again. But I am excited to give them all there presents. I hope they like them as much as I do. Speaking of that I should of made one for myself.
We leave to go see my parents next Friday !!!! I am so EXCITED !!!! Shawn is off work starting Wed, I told him I am taking that day off, I don't plan on getting out of bed, We will see how long that last for.
Oh and we were talking tonight on our way home from dinner. I am thinking about going back to work PT at nights while he is at home. I really want to go back to work but I don't want to have to put Kayden in day care. Shawn is gonna take a day off in Jan so I can look and we will see what happens.

The monkey has a TEMPER
I swear it is getting worse, and I have not a clue who he got it from, I was never that bad !!!
Yesterday we where in the store picking up a couple of things and he was screaming at the top of his lungs most of the way though the store cause I put chips in the cart and did not open them to give him any. I know I am a mean mommy, He had just calmed down when we got to his favorite snack I threw it in the cart hoping he would not see, No such luck, and he let loose again. Screaming at the top of his lungs. Thank heavens it was just a quick shopping trip so we could go though the 15 or less line. some lady was behind us staying quite a ways back, It is not like he stunk or anything, he was just screaming at me. Well when she got closer she said " well someone is not happy today" Well thanks Lady I had not noticed he was screaming and pist.
So I ask everyone - WHY must people state the obvious ? ?
Second question - Does my cute little Kayden look like a girl ? ? I am getting so tired of people saying what a cute little girl. He wears BLUE not PINK, Yes he has cute little curls, but they are not long. I ALWAYS get " SHE is so cute " I always respond. Thanks I know HE is.
Needless to say we paid for our groceries and came home. Kayden went straight to bed and was a much happier little boy when he woke up. He had only been up for maybe 3 hours. In the afternoon he is up for 5+ hours before bedtime and most of the time does not act like that. Maybe we will have to stick to running errands after nap time.
Today he had a temper again. We had playtime today with our friends, We made a hand towel with his hands and foot prints on them. HE does not like painting, I think we are going to limit what we do with paint for a while. He screamed the whole time we where doing it and even while I tried to clean him up. He still has paint on him. oh well. The towel did turn out cute, I will post pictures later. After we painted he got to play some more, They had a fish tank at there house, He loves the fish tank, but he kept hitting it and I did not want him to hit it, I would tell him to play nice with the fish and have him sit down if he hit the tank and he would.... you guessed it.... SCREAM. after 3 times of this I decided we needed to go home, I was done with the attitude. Well I had to get him dressed. and it started again. I asked the moms if there kiddos every did this, They all said of course. Makes me feel like I am not alone. HE came home and went straight to bed again. he is up eating lunch and is happy as pie. He might go run a couple errands. I want to get more diapers cheap. I told you I have a bad habit that if I can find it cheap I do it.
Just ask Shawn about the soda that needs condoms :)
I have a bunch of stuff to do tomorrow so I hope that he will make it and not start with the tempers again.

Peanut Butter Breath
So I did not right yesterday cause it was a boring day, We did laundry all day, What fun. I bet all of you wish you could of joined me. You can I will let all of you.
Today was a fun day, I am learning that Kayden wakes up when Shawn is getting ready for work, But if I get him out of bed then, Then he is a butt, If I let him lay in bed for a while he is a much happier monkey That is what I did this morning , It was a much happier morning in our house.
Kayden is learning so much lately - I have started working with him on his ABC's. AAAA BAHHH CEEEE OOOOO. It is cute, He has a letter set and he brings one to us and we tell him the letter and he try's to say it back to us. He is doing pretty darn good I think.
Kayden did something today that made me think of my Grandmother, She hated peanut butter. Anytime any of the grand kids would eat PB anything my Papa or an aunt or uncle would say, Go give grandma kisses, and we would. Well I made PB cookies for a cookie exchange and my dear son stole one while I was not looking, He came over to me to give me kisses and he had PB breath. My grandma would of loved a kiss from him. I wish he could give her a kiss. But a enough with being sad. He also tried to give Lola a bit and she was not having it.
So I love telling people at the good deals I got. Today I got
- 2 packs of Huggies diapers
- 2 things of Huggies wipes
- 3 things of Johnson baby soap
All for only 4.31

I can do the deal again but no soap. I think I am going to go back tomorrow, I love getting cheap diapers.

Christmas Came Early
Today was a really good day !!! THE SEAHAWKS WON !!!! So now they are the NFC west champs !!!!
Other then that it was still a really good day, For the most part we had a pretty lazy day, Shawn made breakfast which he usually does on the weekends, I laid down for a nap and so did Kayden, The kicker was he only took a 45 min nap, Let me tell ya that is just not long enough for him, He needs at least 2 hours to make the rest of the day go smooth.
We had a Christmas party to go to this evening with our baby group on base. Kayden had a blast, We ate and played and opened presents. We did a little gift exchange for the baby's - Kayden got a little guitar that will go in his room with the rest of the toys that make noise. All his noisy toys go in there. Every once in a while one finds it way out to the living room and I every so nicely return it to where it goes in a matter of moments.
I think the boys thought it was a fort or something, They had a blast playing under there.
Kayden opening his Christmas presents - Or at least trying, he got bored and mommy finished.
Now that it is open he wants to play with it
He is gonna be a ROCKSTAR someday !!!
These are all his friends Kayden, Owen, Aiden, Maddy and Cooper. We were surprised that they are sat there long enough to get a pic of them.
We also had a cookie exchange at the party, I made 2 different kinds of fudge, mint chocolate cookies, PB cookies and cherry winks. All so yummy. For the snack I made pizza bread. I love cooking. I spent the better part of the afternoon in the kitchen doing stuff. What is left over is going to Shawn's work tomorrow. I love baking but wont eat that much of it, Unless it is bishops bread then keep your little fingers out of it I wont shear that stuff. I know my Dad loves it too so I am thinking about making some to bring down to him when we go there for Christmas
Kayden started getting cranky, so we left the party at came home to put him to bed. He was in bed by 7 and most nights he is up till 730 or 8. I am hoping him going to bed so early does not mean he is gonna rise early. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

DIPS
So do day started out frustrating, We had to get out the door by 840 this morning because we had an appt for family Christmas pictures. I know we just did family pictures but he has changed so much and we all have matching Seahawks jerseys and I wanted a picture of us together in them. They turned out cute. Most of you will be getting one in your Christmas cards that are going out in the mail on Monday. I am so proud of my self that they are gonna be early this year.
OK so back to this morning, We where getting ready when I looked at Shawn and decided that he needed a hair cut before pictures, He agreed,hurry to get ready and left to get his hair cut and breakfast while I got Kayden and myself ready. We where sitting in the truck waiting for Shawn when his phone rang, It was a lady he works with saying a server was down and she needed Shawn to come fix it, For those of you that don't know Shawn does IT for his office. She did not seem to care that we needed to leave in 2 mins to get to our pictures on time. I do not like this lady. She took a gift form a kid at a gift exchange we had yesterday - Who takes a gift from a kid !!!!
We drove to his office and he ran in, She is stupid !!! The server was not down it was fine, It was her not know anything about computers. All she needed to do was reboot So we where off to the mall to get our pictures done. I was hoping the day would get better not worse. The pictures turned out wonderful, but I don't get Kayden, When I bring out the camera at home he is all smiles and loves getting his picture taken, When we go to get them taken it is like pulling an arm and a leg to get him to smile and look nice for .5 of a sec to get a decent picture. We ended up with an 8x10 to go on his wall of pictures and wallets to go in the Christmas cards, While we where waiting for the picture to be uploaded we went and got something to drink, Kayden LOVES Orange Julius and will steal yours if he does not have one, We decided to get him his own today and he drank it all. Because we had some time to waste we also went to Bath and Body Works to get my sister some choco mint lotions that I am gonna send in her box on Monday.
After pictures we went out to lunch at Islands a place where we got a gift card to yesterday at the party, it was OK. We ended up not using the gift card cause the manager compt our meal as there was some problems. Kaydens lunch came about 10 mins after ours did, So my hamburger was getting cold and I have to eat it hot, I was not gonna let my son watch me eat my lunch, I asked for mayo and it took the guy forever to bring it, I asked for a plate and they were dirty, Kayden got a grilled cheese and the cheese was not melted( He did not mind, he ate it anyways)
Kayden also learned the art of dipping his frys, I think it is cute

After the nap the day did not get better, it got worse. I will just leave it at that. I woke up not feeling too well so we decided to go out to pizza, It was good, Me and Shawn finished off a whole pizza, This has never happened before. He was proud of us :)
Tomorrow should be fun, I am gonna make some cookies and we have a Christmas party to go to with some friends we have on base.

Who says a monkey cant wrap presents
So I slept for crap last night, I am so tried of being sick. I will just leave it at that. So today was Shawn's work Christmas Party, After going I have decided that we will not be going again next year !! I think this was one of the worst Christmas party's we have ever been to and we had to pay 16 a person to go. They served us lunch and it was BBQ brisket sammys or Chicken. The brisket was not bad but the chicken was gross. They also had Potato salad, Baked Beans and Green Salad. That it for 16 bucks a person. NOT WORTH IT. They Played a couple of games. We walked away with quite a bit of stuff.
- A Starbucks goodie bag with two mugs and some coffee beans
- A 20 gift card to BJs
- A 25 gift card to Islands - a burger joint
- A big bottle of CROWN
- A cool Christmas tree
We had a small bottle of crown also but we gave it away as Shawn does not need two and I am not drinking right now.
We had to bring a gift for a gift exchange, Kayden decided that he was gonna help me wrap presents this morning - Boy was that fun

So today was, Well just a day, Kayden has not taken a nap and I don't want to put him down now as it is way to close to bed time. I was starving after spending 32 bucks on lunch. and all of us are cranky. Tomorrow should be a better day we have some fun stuff planned.

Day One
So lately I have really gotten into reading a blog on cooking, So I thought I would start my own so that family and friends can know what is going on in our house on a daily bases.
We will start with today and go forward, No need going back. Well maybe just a little.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have a play group we get together with on base. It is Very fun, There is 4 other kiddos and then Kayden. Today we had it at our house. While I was in WA on Thanksgiving Vacation I got some bigger holiday colored beads to the Kiddos could make ornments, They turned our pretty cute, as soon as I can figure out how to post a pic I will put on up of the one Kayden made. I am gonna keep it forever and put it on the christmas tree every year. After that we went and got Daddy lunch and then came back home and me and Kayden took a nap. I have been sick since we got back from vacation so I have been taking naps with Kayden. After nap time we made my moms Bishops bread, It is YUMMY and I dont know if I am gonna share with anyone. Ok so I will go back one day. Yesterday we (will I) Made two differnt kids of fudge and cookies, I dont know who is going to eat it all as I dont eat that many sweets either does Shawn. After we made Bread, Shawn got home, I really think that is Kaydens favoriate time of day. He always gets happy when SHawn walks though the door. Him and Kayden played while I cooked dinner, We have a red chair, Kayden was sitting in the chair and Shawn would scare him and Kayden would laugh his little heart out. That is the best sound in the world. Then Kayden found shawns combat boots and thought that it would be fun to try to walk in them. Let me say it was quite cute. Kayden was also jumping on my chair and saying jump, jump, jump, That is our new word for today.
That is pretty much our day. I promise most entrys wont be this boring, Well they might be but I will try to make them exciting.
We will start with today and go forward, No need going back. Well maybe just a little.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have a play group we get together with on base. It is Very fun, There is 4 other kiddos and then Kayden. Today we had it at our house. While I was in WA on Thanksgiving Vacation I got some bigger holiday colored beads to the Kiddos could make ornments, They turned our pretty cute, as soon as I can figure out how to post a pic I will put on up of the one Kayden made. I am gonna keep it forever and put it on the christmas tree every year. After that we went and got Daddy lunch and then came back home and me and Kayden took a nap.
